Bye bye James and Ashly

As our PBOX come to an end, our interns also went back to their home. James and Ashley from China taught English in Wattala.

They have done a good job. Now they have left us. It’s always hard to leave friends, anyway we gotta accept the reality.

The time we spent together, those things are sweet memories forever. I wish you all the best for your prosperous future!! :)

I miss ya guys!!!!

Wings to Fly moved into next Phase

It’s been a long time since I wrote my last post in this blog. In this post I’d like to give some updates regarding our PBOX (Project Based on Exchange).

Finally we have matched two interns to teach English in Schools. Two Interns came from China main land. Now both of them are teaching in Wattala Zakira College.

Our PBOX has moved into next phase, we are so glad. Thanks to whole wings to fly OC and our beloved LCP and Madu. They are the initiators of this PBOX. Special thanks go to all other people who helped us to get this far…

We hope to have one more match for this PBOX in September, hope things will go as we expected.

Battle for the helms deep is about to end!!!! Soon we’ll strike Mordor!!!

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!! Finally we manage to find a SN from Russia for our PBOX wings to Fly. It’s another example for our group effort and passion.

As usual our beloved Madhu helped us a lot to find this SN and she guided us all the time. Unforgettable experience is the online interview with the new intern (Mr. Kirrill). I, Nilanka, Madu interviewed him via MSN messenger. It was indeed a different experience!
Hope soon we’ll find more SNs for our PBOX.

Now I gotta tell you why I compared this situation with the battle of the helms deep!!! For sure we’ll win this war but we have to face more obstacles, cos still we have to find more SNs and lots of things to be done!!! The finale battle is upon us; soon we’ll break through the lines of MORDOR!

· Nilanka – Mm… Let him be the Aragon
· Dinusha – She is doing learning part so let her be the Gimly!! (Kid’n !!!! ;)) .
· Tix – he.. he.. She is so active like Frodo ;) (Very silently doing her part… Just like fordo)
· Chameendra – Like Sam, she always cares about our PBOX. Nice EP/VP
· Mayu – ah… mm… LEGOLAS (I know it’s toooooooooooooooo much!!!!!) ;)
· Shanika – Finance!!! So rich like King of Rohan.


· MADHU – She is the Gandalf… cos you know guys she is always guiding us even in the tough time.

· THILANKA – Émor, loyal rider of the CN.

We’ll ride out and meet them,
For the glory of Wings to fly and CN,
The horn of the helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep
Let it be the hour when we draw swords together, (I mean our OC)
Now for Kids,
Now for TNs and SNs,
AAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

We are stepping out to face the obstacles, from the Helms deep, actually Madhu (Gandalf, the white rider) waiting outside with Émor and his riders (its Thilanka and rest of the CN family) to assist us!

We gonna make it!! We’ll do it!!!!

Another Day in AIESEC Sri Lanka Office!!

I spent another full day usefully in AIESEC Sri Lanka office; we had our PBOX meeting, EB meeting and an EB meeting with Sahan aiya.
We made alterations in our budget and we brought down the cost. We found that we need to pay more attention in finding financial partner and Trainees for our PBOX! Rajith Aiya helped us to cut down the cost and he gave us good ideas to take our PBOX forward! Our thanks goes to Rajith aiya!!!!! As usual Madhu and Thilanka also helped us.

Then we had our EB meeting with our beloved LCP Thilanka. We were talking abt some old stories happed in our LC and around 4 we went for the meeting with our Elected MCP Shahan aiya. He was preparing us for the NPM. He gave us a clear picture of AIESEC and its core work, further more he elaborated about the AIESEC 2010 plan.
All in all it was a wonderful day which I spent in the office. I feel more responsible and I gotta do a lot for my LC and my Country.

I'm elected to EB!!!

16th April 2007, is one of the most unforgettable days in my life, because I got selected for the EB of the Colombo North LC. Morning with the help of Madhu (Thanx buddy!) we went to the hall and we had our election there.

Katy has conducted the meeting and MADhumal, Sudeera, Sujith aiye, Sahan aiye, Shasha and lot more in the occasion. I’m so scared during the question time, anyhow I managed to answer all the questions.
Thanks to all the AIESECers those who have voted for me in the election! I won’t let your hope go down.

I’d like to thank Madhu, Thilanka and others those who motivated me to apply for the EB election.
